| Church New Building Fund | After purchasing a beautiful medal (they called it a medallion) from our church to help raise some money for our new chapel, part of the plan is that we are supposed to also do a good deed and then write about it here. This is a very neat idea and many of the members that bought these tokens are starting to do different things. I decided that, since I had always wanted too anyway, it was time to volunteer at our local homeless shelter. When I inquired, they said that they were happy to have me help serve some meals and that I could start tomorrow afternoon, if it was acceptable to me. I did not know what to expect but after they put me to work, many people told me “Thanks” and I have to admit that it made me feel good. I wish that I had started doing this before now. |

| Noah and Jens Wedding | I went to a wedding of a friend of mine and was truly impressed by the sentiment associated with the a beautiful 24 Karat Plated Gold Coin that they handed out to all of the guests. They told us that the idea behind the "coin" was for us to do something good and then come to this site and record the good act that we had done. This way we could all do something good for someone else on behalf od their wedding. What a wonderful idea! As things sometimes happen, I received a call from my Grandmother who was not feeling well and, as a result of getting the coin, figured that I would not delay going to see how she was doing and helping her out. So I picked up right then and made sure that she was OK. |
